Here I have selected a series of photographs taken my Albert Renger Patzsch, and then put them into a gallery i am fascinated by all of photographs I am going to continue to research and take inspiration from his work to create my own photographs similar to his, I am also captivated by the way the photographer takes photographs of every day objects but presents them in a wall so that they look more interesting and of a different angle to which this also emphasis the look of surrealism in some of this photograms.
For my first experiment I took inspiration from Albert Renger-Patzsch before taking these photograph I looked as some of Alberts photographs and I could tell that he focused formal elements such as formal elements, line, repetion, framing, tone, depth, light, and framing. As these were the main formal elements that I was focusing on because of Albert I then went in and around school using my iPhone 5s and then I began taking photographs with these formal elements in. I am happy with my photographs that i took as I feel that they show sharp lines and the framing is good, however some photographs that I took the framing and composition is not quit accurate and you can also see movement that is going on in the background, by having movement in the background it takes away the attention from what I want my viewers, in addition it also makes the viewer focus on what is happening in the background rather than what is meant to be the main subject. If I were to edited or change these photographs I would zoom in on specific parts of the photograph as Albert does this makes the photograph more appealing and focusing. And another thing I would change or edited in these photograph is the filter I would change it from colour to grayscale as this is also how Albert presents his photographs.
After looking at my first experiment of photographs i released that they were to as similar to Albert ranger Patzschs photographs, so i wanted to upload them onto photoshop, after doing this I then changed all of my photographs from colour to grayscale which then wiped all the colour from the photographs after doing this filter i was happy with the after effect one reason being it was similar to Alberts photographs as he works in black and white and the second reason being I feel it looks more effect and bold than it was when it was in colour. The second adjustment that i idid to these photographs was i then adjusted the composition and contrast this then made the black and white stand out between each other. Overall I am more happy with my photographs now because they are in black and white however if i were to redo this experiment i would focus more on the formal elements such as framing and angle of view for some of the photographs as i feel that some were better than others in the aspect of framing and the angle of view.
For this experiment, I took this photographs inspired by Albert- Renger patzzch as i did my first first experiment however i feel that this experiment was more successful in the fact of the similarities to alberts photographs for example
As i was inspired by Ansel adams i went around my area taking photographs which i thought were to do with nature as this is what kind of work Ansel adams works with. I took all of the photographs on my iPhone 5s as i feel i will get the best quality i wanted to take all of the photographs in colour to start with then develop them by changing the filter, exposure and contrast as i would get a idea of what will work best. I am happy with the photographs i have taken however to improve my photograph i could have used a proper camera as i could have get closer to the subject without it going out of focus whereas on a iPhone you can only hold the camera a certain distance from the object before it goes out of focus and too blurry which is what i did not want.
As i was inspired by Ansel Adams I wanted to edit some of my photographs so that they would be similar to Ansel adams, for this photograph it was taken in colour i then uploaded onto iPhoto and changed it from its original colour into black and white after i was happy with the effect i then altered with the contrast turning it up the the fullest that it would go this then gave the photograph various tonal shades of highlighted section, extremely darker sections, and mid greys, after I was happy with the outcome of my photograph i then went onto filter with the expose turning it up to 0.61 which then captured the very light sections of the photograph contrasting with the dark sections making the photograph bold and daring. The next step I did was I played with the contrast turing it up to 100 this then turned the photograph from grey to very dark to highlighted sections. I am overall happy with the outcome of this photograph therefore i am going to edit all of my photographs that i have taken inspired by Ansel adams in the same way
