Abelardo Morell was born in Mexico 1948Abelardo Morell creates his photograms using a 8x10 film, to create this effect on his photograms he uses substances such as water and salt. I like the way his photograms turn out as it has a bold and eye-catching outcome. Abelardo uses other objects such as a torch to capture the bright light effect which makes the black and white contrast.

Click After looking at this photographers work on chemigram, i chose to pick out my favourite and the most appealing chemigram created by him. |
For my first experiment I experimented with dark room technique. I went into the dark room using my own items, I wanted to use items which had the clearest and sharpest outline of direction this way you could tell what the object were that i Chose to expose to light. However if I were to do this experiment again I would use transparent objects such as a ruler but using transparent objects I feel as the effect would be more bold, and interesting. However I am happy with the outcome of my photographs I am happy with how much I exposed it to light, making the light sections light but not to light and the darker black background extremely dark.
for this experiment i went into the dark room and deiced i wanted to use pieces of paper to experiment from. The first thing i did was i had a set time of how long i would like to expose my objects to the light for, for the first photograph i exposed it for 3 seconds and the snap shutter was set at 3.9 i think this was a good range as to set it for as photogram 1 turned out successful if i were to do this again i would turn up the shutter speed t 5.6 to see how it turned out.
